Comprehensive Electric Conductance Converter

Electric conductance quantifies how easily electric current flows through a material and is measured in siemens (S). Our Electric Conductance Converter allows you to seamlessly convert between various conductance units—from the SI base unit (siemens) to larger and smaller units such as megasiemens, kilosiemens, millisiemens, microsiemens, and even alternative units like ampere per volt (A/V), mho, gemmho, abmho, and statmho. Additionally, the converter supports specialized units such as the Quantized Hall conductance for advanced applications.

What Units Are Covered?

Our converter supports a complete range of electric conductance units with conversion factors defined relative to siemens [S]:

  • Siemens [S] (base unit)

  • Megasiemens [MS]: 1 MS = 1,000,000 S.

  • Kilosiemens [kS]: 1 kS = 1,000 S.

  • Millisiemens [mS]: 1 mS = 0.001 S.

  • Microsiemens [µS]: 1 µS = 1.0E-6 S.

  • Ampere/volt [A/V]: 1 A/V = 1 S.

  • Mho: 1 mho = 1 S.

  • Gemmho: 1 gemmho = 1.0E-6 S.

  • Micromho: 1 micromho = 1.0E-6 S.

  • Abmho: 1 abmho = 1.0E+9 S.

  • Statmho: 1 statmho = 1.1123470522803E-12 S.

  • Quantized Hall conductance: 1 unit = 3.87405E-5 S.

How Does It Work?

The converter uses a two-step process:

  1. Convert to the Base Unit:
The input value is first converted to siemens using the conversion factor of the selected “From” unit.

  2. Convert to the Target Unit:
The value in siemens is then converted to your chosen “To” unit using its corresponding conversion factor.

This method ensures precise and consistent conductance conversions for all your electrical applications.
