Comprehensive Electric Inductance Converter

Inductance measures a circuit element’s ability to store energy in its magnetic field, and it is expressed in henries (H). Our Electric Inductance Converter allows you to seamlessly convert between various inductance units—from the SI base unit (henry) to larger multiples like exahenry, petahenry, terahenry, gigahenry, and megahenry, as well as smaller units such as kilohenry, millihenry, microhenry, and beyond. It also includes specialized units such as weber per ampere, abhenry, EMU of inductance, stathenry, and ESU of inductance for advanced applications.

What Units Are Covered?

Our converter supports a complete list of inductance units with conversion factors defined relative to henry [H]:

  • Henry [H] (base unit)

  • Exahenry [EH]: 1 EH = 1.0E+18 H.

  • Petahenry [PH]: 1 PH = 1.0E+15 H.

  • Terahenry [TH]: 1 TH = 1.0E+12 H.

  • Gigahenry [GH]: 1 GH = 1.0E+9 H.

  • Megahenry [MH]: 1 MH = 1.0E+6 H.

  • Kilohenry [kH]: 1 kH = 1.0E+3 H.

  • Hectohenry [hH]: 1 hH = 100 H.

  • Dekahenry [daH]: 1 daH = 10 H.

  • Decihenry [dH]: 1 dH = 0.1 H.

  • Centihenry [cH]: 1 cH = 0.01 H.

  • Millihenry [mH]: 1 mH = 0.001 H.

  • Microhenry [µH]: 1 µH = 1.0E-6 H.

  • Nanohenry [nH]: 1 nH = 1.0E-9 H.

  • Picohenry [pH]: 1 pH = 1.0E-12 H.

  • Femtohenry [fH]: 1 fH = 1.0E-15 H.

  • Attohenry [aH]: 1 aH = 1.0E-18 H.

  • Weber/ampere [Wb/A]: 1 Wb/A = 1 H.

  • Abhenry [abH]: 1 abH = 1.0E-9 H.

  • EMU of inductance: 1 EMU = 1.0E-9 H.

  • Stathenry [stH]: 1 stH = 898755200000 H.

  • ESU of inductance: 1 ESU = 898755200000 H.

How Does It Work?

Our converter uses a two-step process:

  1. Convert to the Base Unit:
The input value is converted into henries (H) using the conversion factor for the selected “From” unit.

  2. Convert to the Target Unit:
The value in henries is then converted to your chosen “To” unit using its corresponding conversion factor.

This ensures precise and consistent conversions for all your inductance calculations.
